Andrew Corona, Phoenix, Arizona

Phoenix, Arizona – Andrew Corona, 38, tragically passed away on January 4, 2025, in what appears to have been a heartbreaking murder-suicide in Phoenix.

Corona’s wife, Ashlee Corona, 35, was also found dead in the incident. The couple’s young child, Mav, was severely injured and is currently receiving medical care in critical but stable condition.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, officers were called to an apartment complex near 99th Avenue and Indian School Road at approximately 8:30 p.m. on Sunday evening, following reports of an argument and gunshots coming from inside the residence.

When law enforcement arrived, they discovered the lifeless bodies of Andrew and Ashlee Corona, while their son was rushed to the hospital. Initial investigations suggest that Andrew Corona fatally shot his wife and their child before taking his own life.

"The investigation is ongoing as detectives try to piece together the circumstances surrounding this tragic event," said Sgt. Phil Krynsky, a spokesperson for the Phoenix Police Department.

Friends and neighbors have expressed their shock and sorrow over the incident, describing the family as quiet and seemingly ordinary, making the event even more difficult to comprehend.
