Pitt County, North Carolina – Anthony Gribble, an 80-year-old resident of Peace Ridge Court, tragically passed away on January 10, 2025, as one of the victims in a horrific triple murder.
Mr. Gribble, alongside his wife, Paula Gribble, 76, was found dead from gunshot wounds at their home. The third victim, 64-year-old Enrique Reyes, was discovered at a separate location on Forest Acres Drive.
Authorities have arrested 55-year-old David Lever, a real estate broker from Greenville, in connection with the murders. Lever has been charged with three counts of murder and is currently being held without bond in the Pitt County Detention Center. The investigation is ongoing, and while the motive remains unclear, officials are looking into all possible connections between Lever and the victims.
As the community of Pitt County mourns the loss of these individuals, local residents have shared their condolences on social media. One Facebook user wrote, "Our hearts go out to the Gribble family during this heartbreaking time."
The Pitt County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation, urging anyone with information to come forward.
