Lexington, South Carolina – Brandi Owensby, the cherished drama teacher at White Knoll High School, tragically passed away on January 13, 2025.
Her unexpected death has left the White Knoll High School community, as well as the greater Lexington area, in deep mourning.
Mrs. Owensby, known for her unwavering dedication to the arts, was a passionate educator who inspired countless students throughout her career.
As the drama teacher for the Timberwolf Band, she played a pivotal role in shaping the school’s performing arts programs, fostering creativity, and helping her students grow both artistically and personally.
Her colleagues described her as a dynamic leader who gave selflessly to her students, always pushing them to achieve their best while providing unwavering support.
One of her students shared, “Mrs. Owensby was more than a teacher; she was a mentor and a friend. She believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself, and I’ll never forget the lessons she taught me.”
A parent expressed, “Brandi Owensby was a light in our children’s lives. Her dedication to her students and her passion for the arts were unmatched. We are forever grateful for the time she spent inspiring our kids.”
