Colchester, Illinois – Cheyenna Decker, 23, was found dead in her apartment on the 400 block of N. Coal Street in Colchester, Illinois, on Tuesday, January 20, 2025.
Authorities were alerted to an unresponsive female after a 911 call was made, leading to the discovery of her body.
The McDonough County Sheriff’s Office, along with the McDonough County Coroner and Illinois State Police, are investigating the circumstances surrounding her death.
Sheriff Nick Petitgout confirmed that the death is being treated as suspicious, and an autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday morning in Peoria, Illinois.
At this time, no official cause of death has been determined.
