Coach DeMartini, known affectionately as “DeMar,” devoted 57 years to teaching and 38 seasons to coaching within the Northport school district, leaving an indelible mark on the lives of students and athletes alike.

His exceptional contribution to the Northport Baseball program is particularly memorable, where his leadership and mentorship shaped generations of young players.

In 2021, the field where many of his teams played was named in his honor, a fitting tribute to a man whose influence extended far beyond the baseball diamond.

Coach DeMartini’s impact was not limited to victories and championships; his legacy is built on the values of teamwork, discipline, and perseverance that he instilled in all those he mentored.

Northport will forever remember Coach DeMartini’s unwavering commitment to the community and the youth he so passionately served.
