Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania – Edita Jurisic, a devoted mother, accomplished professional, and cherished member of the community, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2025, at the age of 38. Surrounded by her loving family, Edita’s departure has left a profound void in the lives of all who knew her.
Born in Doboj, Bosnia, in 1986, Edita was the beloved daughter of Petra and Miroslav Jurisic. From an early age, she exhibited resilience, determination, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. Edita pursued her education with passion, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Central Pennsylvania College and later obtaining a Master’s in Business Administration from Argosy University. Her remarkable intellect and work ethic propelled her to a successful career as an Executive Accountant.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Edita was a dedicated mother to her two young sons, Matej, 5, and Nikola, 1. Alongside her loving partner, Jason Yesser, she created a warm and nurturing home, instilling values of kindness, resilience, and love in her children.
Edita was a woman of grace, beauty, and adventurous spirit. A talented model and pageant titleholder, she proudly earned the title of Miss Earth Air at Miss USA Earth. She was also a passionate traveler, celebrating her multicultural heritage and exploring the world with an open heart.
Her vibrant energy, compassion, and boundless love touched countless lives. Edita will be remembered for her magnetic smile, her devotion to family and friends, and the light she brought into every room she entered.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Edita’s honor at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 24, 2025, at Prince of Peace – Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church in Steelton, Pennsylvania. Burial will follow at Churchville Cemetery, with a viewing held prior to the service.
Edita’s legacy of love, strength, and compassion will forever remain in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
