Connecticut – Erica Alterio, a talented and compassionate graphic designer, passed away on January 12, 2025, at the age of 34.
Her death has left a profound impact on her family, friends, and the community she touched.
Erica, a resident of Glastonbury, Connecticut, was born on October 24, 1990, in Hartford, to Laura and Joseph Alterio.
Growing up, she was known for her vibrant personality, infectious sense of humor, and unwavering kindness.
A graduate of Glastonbury High School in 2008, Erica went on to pursue a degree in Visual Arts at the University of Connecticut, where she honed her passion for graphic design.
Her creativity and attention to detail made her a respected freelance designer, with clients who admired her artistry and professionalism.
In addition to her successful career, Erica was deeply committed to her community, volunteering with local organizations focused on mental health and at-risk youth.
She was a beloved daughter, sister, and friend, always putting others before herself.
Erica is survived by her parents, Laura and Joseph Alterio, and her brother, Daniel Alterio, who was her closest confidant.
Her family has expressed their grief, but they take comfort in knowing that Erica is now reunited with her late paternal grandfather, Antonio Alterio.
A memorial service will be held on January 20, 2025, at St. Theresa’s Church in Glastonbury.
