Bryan, Texas – Garrett Ponzio, a cherished son, brother, friend, and mentor, tragically passed away on January 19, 2025, at the age of 29.

Garrett’s sudden loss has left his family and community in deep mourning, as he was known for his infectious smile, kind heart, and unwavering commitment to helping others.

Born on May 15, 1995, in Bryan, Texas, Garrett was the beloved son of Donna and Mark Ponzio. He was a dedicated and passionate individual who made an impact on everyone around him.

A 2013 graduate of Bryan High School, Garrett was deeply involved in sports, particularly soccer, both as a player and as a volunteer coach for local youth teams.

He attended Texas A&M University, where he pursued a business degree while forming lasting friendships and inspiring others with his enthusiasm for life and his generous spirit.

Garrett’s family shared heartfelt memories of his unwavering support and love, especially his close bond with his younger sister, Emily.

His legacy of kindness, integrity, and community service will continue to inspire all who knew him.

Garrett is survived by his parents, Donna and Mark Ponzio, his sister Emily Ponzio, and a large extended family of friends who considered him family.

A visitation will be held on Friday, January 24, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan, Texas. The memorial service will take place on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at 11:00 AM, where family and friends will gather to honor his life.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Bryan Youth Soccer League, an organization dear to Garrett’s heart.

Garrett Ponzio’s legacy will live on in the countless lives he touched, and his memory will forever be cherished by those who loved him.
