Madison, Alabama – Harold Celestine, a well-regarded Surgical First Assistant at TriStar Medical Center, tragically passed away on January 7, 2025, in a devastating residential structure fire in Monrovia, Alabama.
Harold, his wife Marie Celestine, and their 16-year-old daughter Meliyah Celestine were found deceased in the aftermath of the fire at their home on Forestbrook Drive.
Initial investigations revealed that the deaths were not accidental, with each of the three individuals sustaining fatal injuries before the fire occurred.
Forensic analysis confirmed that Harold and Meliyah died from homicides, while Marie’s cause of death was ruled as a suicide.
The Celestine family were beloved members of their community. Harold had recently transitioned from Huntsville Hospital to TriStar Medical Center in Nashville, where he worked as a Certified Surgical First Assistant. His wife, Marie, was a District Manager for Burger King, overseeing the Madison, Alabama area. Their daughter, Meliyah, was a promising student at Sparkman High School.
Sheriff Kevin H. Turner expressed condolences on behalf of the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, stating, “We sincerely hope that those affected may find some degree of closure following this unfortunate occurrence.”
