Jeff and Catherine "Katie" St. George, Marblehead, Massachusetts

Marblehead, Massachusetts – The Marblehead community is deeply mourning the tragic loss of Jeff and Catherine "Katie" St. George, a beloved couple whose dedication to family and local causes touched countless lives.

Katie St. George passed away on May 24, 2024, at the age of 48, after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She was a passionate advocate for education, known for her work in enhancing the local public school system and creating outdoor learning spaces. Katie’s commitment to her family, particularly her daughters, Emma and Charlotte, was unwavering. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, love, and community service.

Jeff St. George, who was a pillar of strength for his daughters following Katie’s death, tragically succumbed to a severe infection on January 20, 2025. His unexpected passing has left the community in shock, and Emma, 17, and Charlotte, 13, are now faced with the unimaginable task of navigating life without both of their parents.

In response, the Marblehead community has come together to support the grieving family. A GoFundMe campaign has raised significant funds to assist the girls with their educational and living expenses. Elisabeth Salvi, a close family friend, shared, "Emma and Charlotte continue to inspire us with their strength and courage."

Katie and Jeff’s contributions to the community will never be forgotten, and their daughters are now surrounded by the love and support of family, friends, and the entire Marblehead community.
