Julian Naumenko, Hatboro, Pennsylvania

Hatboro, Pennsylvania – The Hatboro community is heartbroken over the sudden death of Julian Naumenko, an 18-year-old student at Archbishop Wood High School, who tragically passed away on January 12, 2025.

Julian, a gifted athlete and aspiring nurse, died following a fatal accident, leaving family, friends, and the local community in deep mourning.

As a standout goalkeeper for the Archbishop Wood High School soccer team and a dedicated member of Team Ukrainian Nationals, Julian was known for his leadership, skill, and determination on the field.

His towering presence at 6’2” and 185 pounds made him a formidable player, earning admiration from both teammates and coaches alike.

Beyond sports, Julian was committed to his studies, pursuing a nursing degree with a passion to help others.

He was the beloved son of Very Rev. Fr. Taras Naumenko and Pani Matka Laura Naumenko, with a deep connection to his Ukrainian Orthodox faith.

His family’s faith and values shaped Julian into a compassionate, kind-hearted young man, admired by all who knew him.

Heartfelt tributes poured in from those who remembered Julian’s infectious positivity and selflessness.

One friend shared, “He was the heart of our team, always uplifting everyone around him.”

Plans for a memorial service will be announced in the coming days, as the community continues to offer prayers and support for the Naumenko family.
