Rocky Mount, North Carolina – Khaliq Hunter, 24, was tragically killed in a fatal accident involving an Amtrak train on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at approximately 10:30 a.m.
The incident occurred at the intersection of Main and Goldleaf Streets, where police discovered Hunter’s body just a few hundred feet north of the railroad crossing.
Despite emergency efforts, Hunter was pronounced dead at the scene from his injuries.
