Rockville, Maryland – Marcell Hebron, better known in the music world as Lil Xelly, has tragically passed away on January 17, 2025, after succumbing to gunshot injuries.

The talented Maryland-based rapper, who was just beginning to make waves in the underground rap scene, was known for his passion, resilience, and prolific output.

Starting his music career at the young age of nine, Lil Xelly, born and raised in Rockville, crafted his own raps, inspired by his older brother’s musical journey.

Throughout his career, Xelly released multiple tracks and mixtapes, including the ambitious 2017 project "More Xelly," which featured 105 tracks and showcased his versatility.

Collaborating with prominent figures in the industry, such as Yung Gleesh and A$AP Ant, Lil Xelly’s music resonated with fans and peers alike.

His untimely death has left the music community heartbroken, with fans mourning the loss of a promising talent whose journey was tragically cut short.

"We are devastated by the loss of Lil Xelly," a fellow artist posted on social media. "He had so much more to give."

Funeral arrangements will be announced by the family in the coming days.
