Amelia County, Virginia – Marilyn Semtner, 77, of Blackstone, Virginia, tragically passed away on January 21, 2025, following a fatal two-vehicle crash on Patrick Henry Highway.
The accident occurred at approximately 6:10 a.m. near the 11000 block of Patrick Henry Highway. A 2018 Honda CR-V, driven by Marilyn’s husband, 78-year-old Paul Semtner, was traveling east when it was struck by a tractor-trailer that entered its lane.
Marilyn, who was seated in the front passenger seat, succumbed to her injuries at the scene. Paul was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the tractor-trailer, a 27-year-old from Chesterfield, was not injured in the collision. Virginia State Police are currently investigating the incident, with charges against the driver pending.
