Springfield, Tennessee – Miah Mansfield, 7, and her younger brother Jackson Mansfield, 4, were tragically killed in a single-vehicle rollover crash on the evening of Friday, January 10, 2025.
The incident occurred at approximately 7:22 p.m. on Highway 161 in the 4700 block, near Springfield. The vehicle, driven by their father, veered off the road, struck a culvert, and collided with a utility pole. Despite the father’s decision to decline medical assistance, both children succumbed to their injuries at the scene. The driver, identified as Lukas Mansfield, 36, has been charged with two counts of aggravated vehicular homicide and one count of driving under the influence, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
The community is mourning the loss of the two young children. Miah’s school, South Haven Christian School in Springfield, shared a heartfelt message, stating, “It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we inform you of a tragic event that has deeply affected our school family. We ask for your prayers for the family during this incredibly difficult time.”
