Montana Rose Lujan, Tucson, Arizona

Tucson, Arizona – Montana Rose Lujan, a 25-year-old woman, tragically passed away in a single-vehicle accident early on Tuesday morning, January 14, 2025.

The Tucson Police Department confirmed her identity after the incident, which occurred around 2 a.m. near the intersection of 12th Avenue and Drexel Road.

Lujan was a passenger in a 2008 Ford Taurus, traveling northbound at a high rate of speed when the driver, a 23-year-old woman, lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a utility pole.

Lujan was declared deceased at the scene.

The driver was critically injured and was transported to Banner University Medical Center, where she remains in stable but life-threatening condition.

Both women were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.

Investigators are still working to determine whether factors beyond speed may have contributed to the crash.

The tragic loss of Montana Rose Lujan has left friends, family, and the community mourning her untimely death.
