Spartanburg, South Carolina – The Spartanburg and Greer communities are mourning the heartbreaking loss of Seth Alexander, a 20-year-old student and standout athlete at Greer High School, who tragically passed away in a car accident on January 26, 2025.

Seth was known for his exceptional talent on the football field, where he excelled as an outside linebacker and wide receiver. His impressive athleticism and dedication to his team earned him widespread admiration from coaches and teammates alike.

In addition to his athletic achievements, Seth was committed to his education and career aspirations. He was enrolled in the Bonds Welding program and had begun a work-based learning co-op with Jennings-Dill Mechanical Services in November 2024, where he demonstrated his drive to build a successful career in mechanical services.

Seth’s unexpected passing has left family, friends, and the local community devastated. His coaches, teammates, and family members have expressed deep sorrow, with one teammate sharing, “Seth wasn’t just a teammate—he was a brother. His absence leaves a void that can never be filled.”

The community continues to mourn the loss of a young man who had so much potential and a bright future ahead.
