Shelby Moran Sandford, London, Ontario

London, Ontario – Shelby Moran Sandford, a beloved wife, daughter, and sister, tragically passed away on January 18, 2025, at the age of 29 due to a sudden and devastating car accident.

Her family shared the heartbreaking news with the world, describing her as a vibrant soul whose presence will be deeply missed. Shelby, who had recently married the love of her life, Ben, on August 8, 2024, leaves behind not only her grieving husband but also a family that adored her.

Shelby was the cherished daughter of Velvette and Jim Sandford, and the loving sister to her brothers Jay (Stacy) and Cole (Kristin). She was predeceased by her older brother, Jimmy, who passed away in 2005, but her family takes comfort knowing they are now reunited.

Shelby’s grandparents, Linda Stahl and Beth Conway, and extended family members, including nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles, are also devastated by her passing. Raised on a hobby farm in Iona Station, Shelby developed a lifelong love of nature, often finding peace in the quiet woods of Northern Ontario, a place that held a special significance for her.

Her academic achievements were impressive, graduating from Western University in 2017 and King’s College at Western in 2019. Shelby’s intellectual curiosity was matched by her caring and empathetic nature, which will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.

She will be missed dearly by her friends, family, and all who were fortunate enough to experience her warmth and kindness.
