Garrettsville, Ohio – Tyrone Hornbuckle, a devoted father and cherished member of the Garrettsville community, passed away peacefully on January 21, 2025, at the age of 62.
Surrounded by his family, Tyrone’s death has left a deep void in the hearts of all who knew him.
Born on April 12, 1962, in Akron, Ohio, Tyrone was the son of the late Samuel and Shirley Hornbuckle.
He is survived by his children, Jayla Hornbuckle and Tyrese Hornbuckle, both of Garrettsville, and his siblings, Lamar Hornbuckle and Denise Hornbuckle.
Tyrone’s life was defined by his unwavering commitment to his family and his community.
A machinist by trade, Tyrone worked tirelessly throughout his career and was a respected figure in his field.
He was also an active volunteer, dedicating much of his time to local charitable organizations and supporting youth sports teams.
Those who knew Tyrone remember his infectious sense of humor, kindness, and generosity.
He was also a deeply spiritual man, finding strength and comfort in his faith as a member of St. James Church in Garrettsville.
Tyrone was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Alicia Hornbuckle, who passed away in 2015.
A visitation will be held on Friday, January 26, 2025, at the Garrettsville Community Funeral Home, with a funeral service on Saturday, January 27, 2025, at St. James Church.
His legacy of love and kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
Tyrone’s memory will forever inspire those who had the honor of knowing him.
