Dawn Robbins has organized a heartfelt fundraiser, "Celebrate Judy by Honoring Missy," in Prospect, KY. This fundraiser aims to raise $4,000 to honor Missy Farfsing and support the Bike to Beat Cancer 2024 campaign. Judy, Missy’s mother, shared her inspiring 20-year cancer survival story, emphasizing the support and laughter that helped her through her journey.
Judy was diagnosed with Infiltrating Ductal Carcinoma on July 12, 2004. Her treatment included surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, and Tamoxifen. Despite the hardships, Judy’s family and friends provided immense support, turning even the worst days into joyful moments.
Missy, Judy’s daughter, lost her battle with Grade 4 Astrocytoma Mutant Glioma on January 22, 2022. Diagnosed on September 14, 2020, Missy underwent surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation but sadly passed away, leaving behind her husband Paul and daughters Cara and Ramsey.
Missy was passionate about life and dedicated to volunteering. She played a significant role in the Norton Hospital Foundation’s Bike to Beat Cancer campaign, serving as a volunteer coordinator for 14 years.
Judy seeks support for her fundraiser, urging friends and the community to donate in Missy’s memory. The goal is to have 100 people donate $20 and 20 people donate $100, but contributions in any amount are appreciated.
