Aaron Jackson, a beloved member of the Destrehan community, passed away a year ago this August, leaving behind a grieving family and a young son who is now five years old. Aaron’s passing has deeply affected those who knew him, particularly his family, who continue to mourn the absence of his warm smiles, shared moments, and the joy he brought into their lives.
Aaron’s death, attributed to fentanyl poisoning, has left a void in the hearts of his parents, sister, and son. His parents and sister have expressed their profound grief over the loss of what could have been, while his young son, just beginning kindergarten, is learning to navigate life without his father. Despite the pain, Aaron’s family has found solace in their faith, clinging to the peace and comfort they believe God provides as they face life one day at a time.
In response to this tragedy, the Friends of the Jackson’s Community have organized a fundraiser to help ensure Aaron’s son receives the support he needs as he grows up. The fundraiser, which was created today, has set a goal of $6,000. So far, $100 has been raised thanks to a generous donation from Dana MacCord, made just 28 minutes ago.
The community is encouraged to contribute not only financially but also through their prayers and continued support for the Jackson family. The funds raised will go towards providing Aaron’s son with the resources and care he will need throughout his life.
We extend our deepest sympathies to the Jackson family during this difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you as you continue to grieve and find strength in your faith.
