Wailuku, HI—The community of Wailuku is deeply saddened by the sudden passing of Aaron Ollero, a talented and creative soul who tragically left us too soon after being struck by lightning. Aaron was known for his remarkable skills in graphic design and photography, and his artistic vision was admired by many. His generosity and kindness touched everyone he met, leaving a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to know him.
Aaron spent his childhood in Maui, a place that always held a special place in his heart. It is the family’s heartfelt wish to bring him back to his beloved Maui so he can rest in peace surrounded by the beauty he cherished throughout his life. Aaron’s brother, David Ollero, has organized a fundraiser to help cover the expenses of bringing Aaron home and for the funeral costs.
Aaron faced significant challenges in his life, including a battle with schizophrenia that was aggravated after undergoing surgery in his early adult years. Despite these struggles, Aaron remained true to his generous spirit and continued to share his art with the world.
The family has planned a viewing at Nakamura Mortuary on September 14th, followed by a funeral service at St. Anthony of Padua church in Wailuku, Maui on September 16th. As of today, $600 has been raised out of the $25,000 goal, with donations coming from friends, family, and others touched by Aaron’s life.
We extend our deepest condolences to the Ollero family during this difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you as you navigate this heartbreaking loss and work to honor Aaron’s memory.
