Aaron Zapata-Noble, Santa Maria, CA—The community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of baby Aaron Zapata-Noble, who passed away on Saturday, October 19th, at just 2.5 years old. Aaron’s passing has left his two mothers, Krista and Gimena, devastated, as they return home from Stanford Hospital without their beloved son.

Aaron’s short life was marked by numerous medical battles, including muscular dystrophy and other genetic conditions. His mothers, Krista and Gimena, who had fostered him since he was a newborn, adopted him in December 2023. They lovingly dedicated themselves to his care, often facing financial and emotional challenges. Despite these difficulties, they always prioritized Aaron’s well-being.

Over the last few months, Aaron’s health declined further, culminating in his final stay at the hospital, where his family was given the tragic news that there were no more medical options available to save him.

A fundraiser organized by Amie Vickers has been set up to support Krista and Gimena during this incredibly difficult time. Despite their unwavering love and dedication to Aaron, they now face financial hardships, having been denied support from various social services. The community has begun to rally around them, with donations already coming in to help with funeral expenses and other costs.
