Abdoul Aziz Mbodj, Seattle, WA — It is with deep sorrow that we report the passing of Abdoul Aziz Mbodj, a man who had been a part of the Seattle community for over 30 years. Aziz passed away recently, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and generosity.
Having made his home in the United States for many years, Aziz was known for his lively spirit, warmth, and his passionate desire to help others. Despite living away from his homeland, Senegal, he remained deeply connected to his roots, and his passing has left a significant void in the hearts of his family, friends, and the many individuals whose lives he touched.
In an effort to honor his memory and fulfill his final wishes, a fundraiser has been set up by Khady Sarr to bring Aziz’s body back to Dakar, Senegal, where he can be laid to rest with the dignity and respect he deserves. The fundraiser has so far raised $120 from generous donations.
The community has come together in support, with messages of condolence and compassion flowing from many who knew him. As his family works through this difficult time, they are grateful for every contribution that helps bring Aziz home.
We offer our deepest condolences to his family and friends during this time of grief. Our thoughts and prayers are with them as they navigate the days ahead.
"Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi rajiun," "Indeed, we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we return."
