Afele passed away peacefully in his sleep on July 26th, after a sudden battle with cancer. He was a cherished father, coach, and community member whose absence will be deeply felt.
Afele’s daughter, Mizpa Livingston, and his son, Ieremia Livingston, are organizing a fundraiser to cover his funeral costs. Due to the lack of life insurance, the family is humbly asking for financial assistance during this challenging time. So far, the fundraiser has raised $290 out of a $10,000 goal through six donations.
Afele Livingston was a pillar of the Clarksville community. He dedicated his time to coaching and umpiring Little League baseball and football, continuing his involvement even after his children aged out of youth sports. He was known for his readiness to lend a helping hand without any questions or judgments, treating everyone like family.
On Facebook, Mizpa Livingston expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support and requested continued prayers. She wrote, "Unfortunately, our Papa Bear did not have life insurance and we are humbly in need of assistance. If you can’t donate, we would greatly appreciate if you could share the link for us and continue to keep us in your thoughts and prayers. Again, thank you all for reaching out and loving on us during this difficult time. We love you, Papa Bear."
