Angelita "Chata" Buentello, Rowlett, TX—It is with deep sorrow that the Buentello family shares the news of the passing of their beloved Angelita "Chata" Buentello. After a courageous 2 ½ year battle with cancer, Angelita passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 28th. She spent her final seven months in the hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Angelita was a devoted mother to her three daughters and a cherished grandmother to eight grandchildren, one of whom has preceded her in heaven. She was also a proud great-grandmother. Throughout her illness, her loving husband never left her side, offering comfort and support. Angelita’s love, strength, and kindness touched many lives, and her passing leaves a significant void in the hearts of those who knew her.
In this time of grief, the Buentello family has organized a fundraiser through Lucy Lovato to help cover the funeral expenses and give Angelita the farewell she deserves. The family has expressed their deep gratitude for the support received so far, with donations from Penny Forte, Blaire Sierra, and Cassandra Ortiz contributing to the cause. Any further donations, no matter how small, are greatly appreciated and will help ease the financial burden on the family.
Angelita’s family finds solace in the words of Psalm 34:18: "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." As they mourn, they also celebrate the beautiful life she lived and the legacy she leaves behind.
We extend our thoughts, prayers, and love to the Buentello family during this difficult time.
