Angelo Ragusa, Chiaramonte Gulfi—The community is deeply saddened by the memory of Angelo Ragusa, who passed away in 2017 after a brave battle with cancer. Angelo was just 33 years old. He was a beloved friend, known for his passion for sports and cultural activities, and his memory continues to inspire those who knew him.
In honor of Angelo, his friend Federico Terlato has organized a fundraiser titled "100 KM TO RAISE MONEY FOR ‘ASSOCIAZIONE ARÀ ANGELO RAGUSA.’" The fundraiser aims to collect €600 to support the charity that bears Angelo’s name. This charity focuses on organizing sports and cultural events to fund causes that benefit the community, reflecting the values and interests Angelo held dear during his life.
As of now, the fundraiser has raised €200 from seven generous donors. Contributions include €25 from Lucy Keenan, €50 from an anonymous donor, €25 from Martina Sammatrice, €25 from Mark Portnall, and €20 from Zoe Strasman. Federico will run 100 km from his hometown Chiaramonte Gulfi through the Pantalica Natural Reserve and back on September 1st, as a tribute to Angelo. Pantalica was one of Angelo’s favorite places, where he often spent time with friends.
The community’s support through this fundraiser is a testament to the lasting impact Angelo had on those around him. Federico and Angelo’s friends are dedicated to ensuring his legacy lives on through the charitable work of "Associazione Arà Angelo Ragusa."
We are deeply saddened to remember Angelo Ragusa’s passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time.
