Anna Danylow, Hamilton, ON—The community is mourning the loss of Anna Danylow, a beloved mother and cherished member of the community, who passed away recently after a courageous battle with triple negative breast cancer. Anna, known for her resilience and strength, defied expectations over the past three years, continually proving doctors wrong with her determination to live. Just a month ago, she fulfilled a long-held dream by traveling back to her homeland of Poland.
Her passing has left a significant void in the lives of her daughter, Natalie Danylow, and her family. Natalie, who has been her mother’s primary caregiver, has dedicated the past three years to supporting Anna through her illness. The family now faces the daunting task of honoring Anna’s final wish—to be sent home to Poland for her final rest. This, coupled with the costs of the funeral, has placed a heavy financial burden on the grieving family.
In response, Lauren Kapas has started a GoFundMe campaign to assist with these expenses. The fundraiser, titled "Help Natalie Send Anna Home," has raised $270 CAD of its $10,000 goal through the generosity of four donors so far. Contributors include Linda Salvo, Katrina Duncan, Eleni Vastakis, and Alena Saric, who have all shown their support in this difficult time.
Anna’s memory will live on through her daughter Natalie, her two grandchildren, Vivienne and Zach, and all who knew and loved her. The community’s outpouring of support demonstrates how deeply Anna touched the lives of those around her.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Anna Danylow’s family during this challenging time. May they find peace and comfort in the love and memories shared.
