Anthony Biancardi, also known as Tony "Bada Bing," has passed away, leaving his family and the community of Southington, CT, deeply saddened. Tony, a former conductor for Amtrak for 33 years, was known for his vibrant personality, contagious smile, and his ability to strike up conversations with anyone he met. Whether he was chatting with passengers or engaging strangers in line, Tony’s presence was always felt.
A proud veteran of the US Marine Corps, Tony often spoke fondly of his time serving in Hawaii. After his military service, Tony pursued a degree in English from UCONN before joining Amtrak in 1989. He was also known for managing his family’s bar, EastEnders, in Waterbury, after the passing of his father. His love for life was evident, and when he met Lisa, the love of his life, the two were married and later welcomed their son, Nicholas.
Sadly, after a difficult battle with cancer, Tony passed away. His wife Lisa and son Nicholas now face the emotional and financial challenges of moving forward without him. A fundraiser has been organized by John Lewia to support Lisa and Nick during this tough time. The community is invited to donate to help alleviate some of their financial burdens as they grieve.
Tony’s memory will live on through the countless lives he touched during his time with Amtrak, at EastEnders, and through his loving family.
