Anthony Dwayne Rushing, Parsons, TN— Anthony Dwayne Rushing passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 23rd, 2024, leaving his family and the community in deep sorrow. He was hospitalized on Friday, November 22nd, and within less than 24 hours, he tragically lost his battle with diabetes, a condition he was unaware he had.

Born on March 11th, 1970, Anthony was a proud graduate of Riverside High School in Parsons. Despite facing numerous hardships in his life, including the early loss of both his parents, Truman and Linda Rushing, he always remained passionate about music, particularly his love for playing the guitar. Anthony was also an avid fan of the Tennessee Volunteers and had a unique hobby of watching the weather, providing his loved ones with timely updates and warnings to keep them safe.

He is survived by his life-partner, Retha Davis. The family, devastated by the loss, is now working to cover the funeral and burial costs, as Anthony did not have life insurance or savings for such expenses. A fundraiser has been set up to assist with the costs of the funeral. As of today, $435 has been raised through the generosity of friends and family.
