August und Hanno, Barth — The community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of twin infants, August and Hanno, who both passed away within a few weeks of each other. Their brief lives were filled with medical challenges, emotional highs and lows, and a profound sense of hope and despair.
The parents, Anna and Eric, faced an incredibly difficult journey. Their twin boys were born prematurely at 25 weeks, with August passing away just four weeks after birth on May 4, 2024. Despite their immense grief, they continued to support Hanno, who sadly passed away on July 4, 2024, after 13 weeks.
A fundraiser has been organized by Michelle Gilde to help Anna and Eric with the funeral expenses and outstanding medical bills. The community has shown tremendous support, raising €535 of the €2,000 goal through 26 donations.
