Bradley Roark of Lubbock, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at the age of 54. Known for his deep love for his family and unwavering commitment to his community, Bradley’s passing leaves a profound sense of loss.
Born on October 4, 1969, in Quannah, Bradley graduated from Coronado High School in 1988. He later pursued higher education, earning his bachelor’s degree from Wayland Baptist University and his master’s degree from Midwestern Theological Seminary. Bradley was a licensed professional counselor, a healer who touched many lives with his wisdom, kindness, and “Bradley-isms.” He was deeply loved by his wife, Carrie, and their children, Lakota and Asher. Bradley’s presence was larger than life—affectionately known as “Batman”—he embraced life’s joys through action movies, music, and the simple pleasures of playing video games with his daughter or cruising with his son.
In addition to his immediate family, Bradley leaves behind his parents, Tommy and Maxine Swann, and his brother Todd Roark and family. He was predeceased by his father, Robert Roark.
A GoFundMe fundraiser has been organized by Tyson Parker to honor Bradley’s legacy. The funds raised will help his family navigate funeral costs and maintain his counseling practice. Bradley’s lifelong work as a counselor and mentor profoundly impacted those around him, rescuing marriages and transforming lives.
The memorial service for Bradley will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at the Combest Family Funeral Home in Lubbock.
On Facebook, heartfelt tributes are pouring in from those whose lives he touched. Janet Hodgin shared, “Bradley was a light in every room. His spirit will be sorely missed.” A post from the Memorial Home page read, “His legacy of faith and compassion will never be forgotten.”
We extend our deepest condolences to Bradley’s family. Our thoughts and prayers are with them during this challenging time. May his family find comfort in the love and support surrounding them.
