Santaquin, UT—The community is heartbroken over the unexpected passing of Brady Nathan Plumb, who left this earth on August 19th, 2024, just nine days after his 20th birthday. Brady was a cherished son, brother, and friend, whose vibrant personality and loving nature touched the lives of everyone who knew him.
Born on August 10th, 2004, to Kimberly and Nathan Plumb, Brady was a bright light in the lives of his family and friends. Despite his parents’ divorce and their subsequent remarriages, Brady’s family only grew in love, adding step-parents, siblings, and an extended family that he adored. He was a mentor and protector to his brothers and sisters, always guiding them with a gentle yet firm hand.
Brady had an insatiable curiosity and a love for the outdoors, spending countless hours exploring nature with his father, Nathan, and stepmother, Renae. His adventurous spirit was matched only by his determination, evident in his many talents—from mastering the guitar to excelling at waterskiing. Brady’s love for life was contagious, and his passion for hiking, music, and even bargain hunting left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
In January of this year, Brady pursued a career in law enforcement, becoming a Utah County Corrections Deputy by April. His compassionate nature and strong communication skills allowed him to connect with both his peers and the inmates he served, making him a valued member of the team. He had recently begun training to join the S.W.A.T. team, a testament to his dedication and commitment to his new role.
Brady’s untimely departure has left a void in the hearts of his loved ones. His presence, marked by a radiant smile and a heart of gold, will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and the broader community. As they navigate this immense loss, the outpouring of love and support from friends, family, and even strangers has provided some comfort in this difficult time.
On Facebook, friends and acquaintances expressed their sorrow and shared memories of Brady:
- Janett Ackerman Call: "I wish I had gotten to know Brady. I would have benefitted from just saying hi to him more than only once, and he lived just across the street. To his family that I know: my prayers go out for your peace and comfort. Life will not be the same without…"
- Alice Smith: "So sad"
