Brainerd Ramos Medrano, Lancaster, PA Community Mourns Devoted Father and Friend

Brainerd Ramos Medrano, Lancaster, PA—With heavy hearts, we report the passing of Brainerd Ramos Medrano, who left us unexpectedly at the young age of 40. A deeply devout man, Brainerd dedicated his life to worshiping God through his singing and songs from an early age. He was known for his joyous spirit and his efforts to uplift those around him, creating cherished moments with family and friends.

On July 29, while at home with his wife and son, Brainerd suffered a sudden heart attack. Despite the swift actions of his wife and paramedics, Brainerd passed away in his home, leaving a profound void in the lives of those who knew him. He was a devoted father, loving husband, good son and brother, and a loyal friend, considered an additional son by his uncles and a brother by his cousins, who could always rely on him.

Brainerd had been living in the United States for the past two years but maintained a strong connection with his native Dominican Republic, where most of his family, including his parents, siblings, uncles, and cousins, still reside. It was the place of his birth and upbringing, a place he always hoped to return to.

In the wake of his sudden departure, his family faces the challenging task of covering funeral expenses in the United States and transporting his body back to the Dominican Republic, so his family and friends can say their goodbyes and honor his memory in the place he considered home.

A fundraiser organized by Dolores Goris has been set up to help cover these expenses. Out of a $15,000 goal, $1,265 has been raised so far from 12 donations. Isaac Duran Espaillat made the top donation of $800, with LaNany Me contributing $50 as the most recent donation, and Javier Ulloa offering the first donation of $20. The family expresses their deep gratitude for any contributions, no matter the amount, as each one brings them closer to their goal of giving Brainerd the eternal rest he deserves. They also extend their heartfelt thanks and blessings for the prayers and support during this difficult time.
