Brian Layton—Brian Layton passed away on September 27th, 2024, after a brave battle with glioblastoma, a grade 4 brain tumour. His family and friends are deeply mourning the loss of a man who was known for his humor, courage, and deep love for those around him.
Brian was diagnosed in December 2022, and despite knowing that his illness was incurable, he fought valiantly, undergoing surgery, radiotherapy, and chemotherapy to extend his time with his loved ones. His strength and resilience during this time were admired by all who knew him. Unfortunately, in the past few months, his health declined rapidly, and his battle came to an end.
Brian was a loving husband, father, brother, and friend, and his loss has left an irreplaceable void in the lives of those who knew him. His wife Caroline, along with their children Rebekah and Josh, are organizing a fundraiser in his memory to support Brain Tumour Research. The family wishes to honor Brian’s memory by raising awareness about the need for research funding to find a cure for this devastating illness.
In their touching tribute, Caroline expressed her grief, stating, "We will never get over losing Brian, and we will talk about him always. He lives on in all our hearts." The family asks that Brian be remembered for his love of laughter and the joy he brought to so many. His legacy will live on through these cherished memories and through the continued efforts to support brain tumour research.
Recent donations to the fundraiser include £50 from Usama Blavins, £20 from Terence Mitchell, and £10 from Stephen Charles. The family hopes to raise as much as possible in Brian’s name to help find a cure for future patients.
We extend our deepest sympathies to Caroline, Rebekah, Josh, and all who knew and loved Brian. Our thoughts and prayers are with them during this incredibly difficult time. May Brian Layton rest in peace.
