Brice Anthony, Caddo Mills, TX— The community is mourning the loss of Brice Anthony, a respected martial artist and beloved leader, who passed away on November 26th, 2023. He was the founder of Caddo Kai Karate, a dojo that he established in 2022 with a dream to teach martial arts alongside his son, Christian Anthony.
Brice’s dedication to Taekwondo and his students was unmatched. His dojo quickly grew from a small group of students to a thriving community, known for its commitment to excellence. He made sure to accommodate everyone, including students with special needs, and even taught seniors in the local community. Brice’s heart was filled with kindness and compassion, and he went out of his way to support those who couldn’t afford to join his dojo, starting programs to ensure no one was left behind.
In August 2022, Brice moved his dojo to a new location in Caddo Mills and launched the "Tournament Team," which performed at local events and competed in TKO League tournaments. His passion for teaching and promoting Taekwondo never wavered, and he continued to inspire his students with his indomitable spirit.
Sadly, Brice’s health took a turn for the worse in November 2023, and he was hospitalized on November 10th. Despite the family’s heavy hearts, his students participated in the 2024 TKO State Championship in late November, honoring his legacy by placing among the top competitors.
The Caddo Kai Karate family is devastated by his passing. He was a son, brother, father, friend, mentor, and role model to many. His son, Christian, will continue his father’s legacy, ensuring the dojo remains a place of learning and growth.
A fundraiser has been set up by Santina and Wendi to honor Brice’s legacy and support his family. The funds raised will go toward outstanding medical bills, dojo expenses, and a Celebration of Life. Donations have already poured in, showing the deep impact Brice had on his community.
Among those paying tribute on Facebook, Wayne Nguyen wrote, "We have lost a TKO promoter, friend, and a highly skilled martial artist. May he rest in peace." Cindy Key shared, "Our hearts are with the Anthony family during this difficult time."
We extend our thoughts and prayers to Brice’s family and the entire Caddo Kai Karate community.
