Buck’s life was marked by his service in the United States Navy, where he exemplified honor and camaraderie. He later established himself in mortgage and loan services, real estate, and as the owner of a local tavern. Buck was also known for his passion for horseracing and backgammon.
His family, including daughters Deborah Lee Truett Resendiz and Tess Truett, sons Timothy Bryan Truett, Jonathan Resendiz, and Tim Truett, and many others, remember him as a devoted father, brother, grandfather, and friend. His cherished cat, Pretty Girl, was a beloved companion.
The visitation will take place on Saturday, August 3, 2024, from 6pm to 8pm at Thompson Funeral Home in Lexington, SC. The funeral service, led by Pastor Brian, is scheduled for Sunday, August 4, 2024, at 2pm, also at Thompson Funeral Home. Buck will be laid to rest at Southland Memorial Gardens in West Columbia, SC, with a graveside prayer by Pastor Jennifer. A Celebration of Life will follow at The Roosters Den.
