Carl Cj, Onsted, MI—The Onsted community is mourning the loss of Carl, who passed away on September 14, 2024. His sudden departure has left family and friends deeply heartbroken. Carl was navigating a challenging time in his personal life, having been separated from his wife and in the process of filing for divorce, with an appointment scheduled just five days after his passing.

Carl’s mother, Sue Dawson, has been facing significant financial challenges in the wake of his passing. She has already contributed $4,000 toward funeral expenses and is now dealing with additional burdens, including a $50,000 debt for Carl’s truck, which remains unresolved due to insurance complications. The vehicle, registered in her name, continues to accrue impound and holding fees, adding to the strain.

Sue shared that despite Carl’s estranged wife having organized her own fundraiser, there has been no communication or support extended to help ease these financial hardships. Carl had not resided with his wife since June and did not provide financial assistance during that time.

In an effort to manage these mounting costs, Sue has started a fundraiser titled "Easing the Burden: Carl’s Funeral and Debt." The community has already shown some support, with donations from Joseph Boeck, Buddy Guild, and Roy Nieto contributing to the cause. Sue expressed her deep appreciation for any assistance, acknowledging the overwhelming nature of her current situation.
