Carl Freyer, Stittsville Community Mourns Devoted Father and Husband

Carl Freyer—Stittsville, ON—The sudden passing of Carl Freyer has left his family and the Stittsville community in mourning. Carl, who was known for his vibrant personality and dedication to his family, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 19th, 2024, at the age of 58.

A beloved figure on the hockey sidelines, Carl was always cheering for his two sons, Izaia and Edison. Along with his wife, Jangyoung Yoo, Carl spent countless hours supporting their children’s activities and building cherished memories. His presence was felt deeply by those who knew him, and his passing leaves an irreplaceable void.

To help support his family in this difficult time, Martin Howard has organized a fundraiser, hoping to offset the expenses associated with Carl’s funeral and to help his family navigate this unimaginable loss. The fundraiser has already seen donations, including $25 from Geoffrey Drover and $100 from Martin and Crystal Howard, in just over 30 minutes.

A memorial service in Carl’s honor will take place on Saturday, October 26th, 2024, at Highland Park in Carp, Ontario. Friends and family are invited to share memories and photos of Carl on his online obituary.
