Carrie Mitchell, Houston, TX—Carrie Mitchell passed away recently, leaving the community in deep sorrow. She was a beloved mother, remembered for her gentle nature and strong faith. Carrie was an innocent bystander waiting at a bus stop on the North side of town in Houston when she tragically lost her life during a high-speed car chase on the freeway.
Her daughter, Keandra Bogan, who affectionately refers to herself as "Ke-Ke," has been left with the heartbreaking task of arranging her mother’s burial. Although the Victims Crime Unit will cover the wake and funeral expenses, the burial costs must be managed separately. To help with these expenses, Keandra has organized a fundraiser to gather the necessary funds to lay her mother to rest.
Despite the overwhelming grief, Keandra has expressed deep gratitude for the support she has received from her community, local news channels, and her church, Outreach Missionary Baptist Church. The wake is scheduled for August 24th, 2024, at the Outreach Missionary Baptist Church, with the service following shortly after.
