Cathy Cozzens Potter, beloved wife and mother, passed away on October 9th, leaving her family and community heartbroken. Cathy battled cancer courageously, and though she had good medical insurance, there are still significant bills, including funeral costs, that remain after her passing. Unfortunately, she did not have life insurance, and now these expenses have fallen on her husband, Kevin, to manage.
Kevin, who shared 14 years of marriage with Cathy, is known for his generosity and kindness. Throughout Cathy’s illness, he remained steadfast, supporting her every step of the way. However, Kevin is reluctant to ask for help, which is why Nicole Cozzens, Cathy’s family member, has organized a fundraiser to ease the burden on him.
The fundraiser, "Easing Kevin’s Burden After Cathy’s Loss," aims to raise funds to cover the outstanding medical bills, funeral expenses, and any other costs Kevin may face during this incredibly difficult time. Donations are already beginning to come in from friends and supporters. Among the first contributors are Janice Ganter, who gave $100, Michael Cozzens with $20, an anonymous donor contributing $30, and Natasha Perkins with $50. These donations reflect the outpouring of love and support from the community.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Kevin and the entire family during this time of mourning. May Cathy’s memory live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
