Cheryl Ann Hogue, Center Township, PA—The community mourns the passing of Cheryl Ann Hogue, who passed away peacefully on October 19th, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones. Born in Beaver Falls on September 28th, 1958, Cheryl was the cherished daughter of Thelma and Pete Hurbanek.
Her sudden passing has left her family deeply saddened. Cheryl’s children, Chelsea Obenauf (Hogue) and Ryan Hogue, along with her husband Charles Hogue, mourn her loss. She was also a proud grandmother to Lenna Obenauf, a role she deeply cherished and one that was taken from her far too soon.
Cheryl’s health complications began on Labor Day weekend when she was admitted to the hospital for a blood infection. Despite medical interventions, Cheryl faced several challenges, including Endocarditis, which severely damaged her heart. She made the difficult decision to focus on comfort measures only, and on October 14th, she was returned to Rochester Manor with the support of Advanced Hospice.
Cheryl was a kind and loving individual who brought joy and laughter to everyone she met. She will be deeply missed by her siblings, George and Mary Hurbanek, her in-laws Donald and Lucy Hogue, and her extended family of nieces, nephews, and close friends, including Brittany Lamey and Sandra Edwards.
A celebration of Cheryl’s life will take place on October 26th, 2024, at Center Township Volunteer Fire Dept, Station 3 in Monaca, PA. In lieu of flowers, her family kindly asks for memorial donations to assist with cremation costs and to support other families during hospice care. The fundraiser, organized by her daughter Chelsea Obenauf, is a testament to the love and support from those around her.
Cheryl Ann Hogue will always be remembered for her genuine heart, her love of family, and her ability to light up any room with laughter. She will forever hold a special place in the hearts of her loved ones.
