Christine Daniels, Purvis, MS— Christine Daniels passed away on December 13, 2024, leaving a profound void in the hearts of her family, friends, and the many lives she touched. Known for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering support of children, Christine was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and educator.
Christine is survived by her devoted husband of 36 years, Eddie Daniels, their three children—Johnny Chase (Kayla), Abby Daniels, and Anna Grace Daniels—her father-in-law Kenneth Daniels, her sister-in-law Linda Daniels, and her grandchild Grady Chase. Additionally, she leaves behind nieces, nephews, cousins, and a cherished “chosen” family.
Christine was a lifelong advocate for education and children. She earned her doctorate in Adult Education from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1993, and in 2004, she was honored with the Mississippi Teacher of the Year Award while working in the Picayune School District. She later served as a librarian at Hattiesburg High School and a part-time professor at William Carey University, where she was beloved by students and colleagues alike. Her legacy as an educator is marked by her deep empathy, dedication, and the lasting impact she made on many young lives.
In recognition of Christine’s legacy, a memorial fundraiser has been organized by Star Wallin. The funds will support Christine’s children and grandchildren during this difficult time.
Christine’s influence extended beyond the classroom—she was a life changer, a friend to many, and a guiding light for all who knew her. Her impact will be remembered by all who were privileged to cross her path.
