Chuck Kaden, Warren, OH—The community mourns the loss of Chuck Kaden, who passed away after a battle with cancer on August 17, 2024. Born in Youngstown on July 8, 1953, Chuck was a man of many talents and a heart full of love, known for his devotion to his family and his passion for the outdoors.
Chuck, a graduate of Wilson High School, spent much of his career as a co-manager at Giant Eagle, where his hard work and dedication left a lasting impression on his colleagues. Outside of work, Chuck found joy in the simple pleasures of life, particularly in fishing, bird watching, and drumming. His hands were rarely idle, as he was known for his handyman skills, always ready to fix what was broken.
The impact of Chuck’s life was most felt within his family. Married to Susan Campolito Kaden since December 7, 1974, they were nearing their 50th wedding anniversary this year—a milestone of love and commitment. Together, they raised two sons, Chad and Todd, and Chuck found his greatest joy in spending time with his six grandchildren: Jailin, Rya Mae, Kaliana, Artaya, Thomas, and Penelope Rose.
Chuck’s passing has left a void in the lives of those who knew him, and the family has organized a fundraiser to help cover the costs of his final expenses and a celebration of life event scheduled for next Friday. The fundraiser, organized by Alina Kaden, has raised $85 out of a $10,000 goal so far, thanks to the generous donations of friends and loved ones, including contributions from Mary Sue Bowers, James Bowers, Kelly Kaden, and Michael Balestrino.
The community has taken to social media to express their condolences and share memories of Chuck. Todd Joseph Kaden posted, "We are raising funds to cover his final expenses and celebration of life event next Friday. Please give, then share the link if you are able to. If you are unable to give, sharing is greatly appreciated. Thank you."
Chuck was predeceased by his parents, John and Genevieve Sackville Kaden, as well as his brother, Jack, and sister, Betty Ryals. He is survived by his wife, Susan; his sons, Chad and Todd; his three sisters, Virginia Infante, Joey Savage, and Nancy Davis; and his beloved grandchildren.
We extend our deepest sympathies to the Kaden family during this difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with them as they navigate the loss of such a cherished and selfless individual.
