Colin Bell, Airds, NSW—A Community Bids Farewell to a Cherished Family Man

Colin Bell, born in Quirindi, passed away recently due to heart failure. Colin was a beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who was deeply rooted in the Airds community. His family and friends are heartbroken over his loss.

Colin’s life was filled with love for his family, having raised three daughters alongside his late wife Jackie, who passed away in 2007. He was known for always being there for his family, driving kids to school, sports events, and helping his 12 grandchildren, later becoming a great-grandfather to five children.

A man of kindness, Colin would lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. He was well-known around Airds, whether at the local pub or the petrol station, and he was passionate about his footy team, Sharky’s. He also enjoyed scrapping metal and was often seen with a beer in hand, enjoying the simple pleasures of life.

Sadly, the family was not prepared for the expenses surrounding Colin’s passing. To help cover funeral costs, Kylie Mitchell, his granddaughter, has organized a fundraiser. Contributions from the community have already begun, with donors such as Jaiden Nancy, Cadence Rondo, Annalise Mitchell, and Vicky Mullen contributing towards the cause. Every donation, big or small, will assist the family in giving Colin the farewell he deserves.
