Courtney Vespa, Northfield, NH—The Northfield community is deeply saddened by the passing of Courtney Vespa. At just 26 years old, Courtney lost her ongoing battle with mental health on August 22, 2024. Known for her kind and loving nature, Courtney was cherished by all who knew her. She had a profound love for animals, especially her pet rabbit and her rat, Scully. Her passion for the outdoors was evident, as she often spent time digging for crystals and rocks, a hobby that brought her peace and joy.
A fundraiser has been organized by her cousin, Jill Parliman, to help bring Courtney home to her final resting place. The goal is to raise $2,500 to cover the costs of cremation and a celebration of life. So far, $150 has been raised through the generous donations of Jodie Favorite, Julie Bedard, and Karen Metivier.
The community has shown an outpouring of love and support on social media. Jill Elliott Parliman, who created the fundraiser, expressed her heartfelt desire to bring Courtney home. She wrote, "Please help my family bring their daughter home. Please share." Many others, including Sandy Deforge, Angie Bush, and Patti Vespa, have also shared the fundraiser in hopes of reaching the goal.
Courtney’s untimely passing has left a void in the lives of her loved ones. Her memory will be cherished forever, as she is now at peace, reunited with her mother and grandfather.
We extend our deepest sympathies to Courtney Vespa’s family and friends during this difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
