Dallon Hayden, La Habra, CA—The community is in mourning as Dallon Hayden passed away peacefully on September 2, 2024. At the young age of 28, Dallon was surrounded by his loving family, including his mother Wendi Hayden, father Dan Hayden, siblings, and close friends during his final moments.
In mid-August, Dallon was admitted to the hospital due to severe complications, including fluid buildup in his lungs and heart. These conditions led to further complications in his liver and kidneys, and doctors also discovered a blood clot in his heart. Despite the best efforts to save him, Dallon fell into critical condition and had to be placed on a ventilator. His passing has left an irreplaceable void in the hearts of those who knew him.
Tyler Gunnell, a close friend, has started a fundraiser to assist the Hayden family with funeral and other expenses. The GoFundMe campaign has set an $8,000 goal, and as of now, donations are just beginning to come in. All contributions will go directly to Dallon’s parents, Wendi and Dan Hayden, to help ease the financial burdens during this difficult time.
Many have taken to social media to express their sorrow. Tohru Nguyen shared a heartfelt post:
"With a heavy heart… and tears were shed.. my friend and one I would consider family Dallon Hayden had passed away last night Sept 2, 2024. I stand here now in game, hoping that I may run into Detoh’li Yootz again… So that we may have many more adventures together with the rest of our Warriors of Light. May he be buried by the sands watching over us. Let Thal guide him safely to the aetherial sea. May Yootz ever walk in the Light embrace by the Mother Crystal. I miss and love you, my friend."
Matt Lord also shared his memories of Dallon:
"He was one of the best people I had ever come across. Right out the gate he and I were like brothers. Wherever he is, I know he’s cracking jokes and saying things like ‘Cringe’ or ‘Well that was embarrassing.’ IDK… The world doesn’t feel the same without him."
