Dane Forester, Exeter—The community is mourning the loss of Dane Forester, the heart and soul of Image Tattoo. His untimely passing has left a profound void, and his friends and colleagues are rallying to honor his memory.
A year without Dane will be marked on the 3rd of September, and to commemorate his life, Olivia Covey, along with PJ and Amber of Image Tattoo, and Kirsty and Jinx of Heavyweight Tattoo, are organizing a fundraiser to build a memorial bench near Fingle Bridge in Dartmoor. This spot holds special memories for Dane’s sister, Brogan, making it a fitting tribute.
The fundraiser, "Help us build Dane’s memorial bench!", aims to raise £2,200, with £215 already contributed by generous donors. The first donation of £200 was made by Paula Covey, followed by £15 from Denise Rolls. Half of the goal amount has been paid as a deposit for the bench, and any additional funds will be donated to Dartmoor Zoo and the air ambulance, the charities chosen by Dane’s family at his funeral.
The memorial event will be held at Image Tattoo in Exeter on the 14th of September, from 11 AM until late. The day will feature a flash tattoo event with proceeds going towards the bench and charities. Cookies and prints will also be available for purchase, with all funds supporting the cause.
Dane’s colleagues remember him for his cheeky humor, immense talent, and vast knowledge. They are determined to make him proud by achieving their fundraising goal and ensuring his legacy lives on in the community he loved.
We are deeply saddened by the loss of Dane Forester. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends during this difficult time.
