Daniel Mobley, Huntsville, AL—Daniel Mobley passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2024, at the age of 41. Known to friends and family as a passionate gamer, a loving husband, and a devoted father, Dan’s passing has left a profound hole in the lives of those who knew him.
Born on May 24, 1983, in York, PA, Daniel led a vibrant life, filled with a wide range of hobbies and accomplishments. He was beloved for his kind and giving nature, always ready with a joke and a listening ear. His gaming personas, such as Varil, Minicloud, and Maros, were known to many across various online platforms, and he was a cherished member of multiple gaming communities. Beyond the screen, Dan’s talents extended to bowling, playing the tuba, and his love for music.
Daniel is survived by his wife, Kristie Oldaker, with whom he shared many joyful moments, both in life and in their shared love of gaming. He also leaves behind his two sons, Matthew Mobley and Noah Mobley, and his mother, Debra Mobley. His sister, Katie Mobley, along with other family members, including grandparents Carl and Jackie Hoover, also mourn his loss. Daniel was preceded in death by his father, Chester Mobley, and his uncle, Carl Hoover Jr.
A fundraiser has been created to help with funeral expenses for Kristie Oldaker, Daniel’s wife.
