Danielle Lynn Lemay, Jackson, Ohio — The community is mourning the loss of Danielle Lynn Lemay, who passed away on Friday, July 26th, 2024, at the age of 48. Danielle was a cherished mother, wife, sister, and grandmother, remembered for her loving nature and joyful spirit.
Born on May 8th, 1976, in Gallipolis, Ohio, to William Case and Thelma Hickman, Danielle spent her life spreading warmth and happiness. She enjoyed shopping, doing her makeup, and spending time outdoors in the sunshine, embracing the beauty of everyday life. Her favorite moments were those spent with her daughters, grandchildren, and her beloved companion dog, Dominic.
Danielle is survived by her husband, Terry Lemay; her daughters, Brianna Lemay (Michael Waldron) and Grace Lemay (Riley Barnes); her brother, Michael Snyder (Angie); her sisters, Angie Reece (David), Amanda Hickman, and Jennifer Case; and her grandchildren, Emilia Waldron, Phynix Waldron, and one on the way. She is also survived by her grandmother, Vernella Jackson (Ray), along with many aunts, uncles, step-siblings, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Willy Case, and her infant sister, Jessica Case.
Danielle’s passing has left her family facing significant financial challenges, as she did not have life insurance. To provide her with a proper burial and a headstone, her daughters have organized a fundraiser. So far, $100 has been raised out of the $8,000 goal, with donations from Dennis Depue and Nancy Wharton.
The family has expressed their gratitude for the care Danielle received from the staff at Buckeye Forest Nursing and Rehabilitation and Heartland Hospice. Special thanks were given to Erica Oiler, Carey Lemay, Terri Kuhn, Makaela Dempsey, Jamie Erwin, Kathy Roach, Brinley Bowen, Sam Crabtree, Amy Warner, Brandy Hale, and others who supported Danielle during her final days.
Services for Danielle will be held on August 2nd from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Mayhew Brown Funeral Home, with the burial to follow at the Case Family Cemetery. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Mayhew Brown Funeral Home of Jackson, Ohio, in Danielle’s name.
